Product description This GearKlamp from BESSEY is a bar clamp that features 24 inches of clamping capacity, 2.5 inches of throat depth, and up to 450 pounds of clamping force. Its streamlined design makes it suitable for use in confined workspaces, even where the clamp's head jaw and back jaw are pressed against a wall.
Objects can be secured between or released from the BESSEY 24 inches GearKlamp's head jaw and back jaw using a handle that is connected to the back jaw, which slides forwards and backwards over the clamp's durable steel rail. Twisting the sliding handle activates a gear train built into the back jaw, which serves to extend a spindle from inside the back jaw toward the head jaw. Together, the spindle and gear train can further strengthen the clamping force between this BESSEY 24 inches GearKlamp's jaws, and a pivoting pressure pad at the top of the spindle accommodates objects with uneven surfaces.
GearKlamp uses a gear train to integrate back jaw and spindle movements on a single handle that includes a quick-release thumb switch, so the amount of space used by the BESSEY 24 inches GearKlamp is reduced, while its clamping force and ease of use are maximized.
