Product description Best Service Chris Hein Ensemble Strings is a Kontakt-powered virtual instrument with a designed ensemble string library, which includes violins, violas, cellos, and contrabasses combined into ten useful ensemble instruments. These ensemble instruments have been mixed from a raw sample pool of over 120,000 samples comprising perfectly tuned and edited performances of solo players. This unique approach ensures that the ensemble instruments are free from player performance errors often found in traditional ensemble libraries. Featuring a unique production technique, a vast array of articulations, special effect-sounds, and DSP effects, Chris Hein Ensemble Strings provides composers and producers with a flexible tool for film scoring, pop music productions, sound design, games, musical experiments, or fast and easy sketching.The instruments are arranged in two different section sizes: small ensembles for a tight sound with a delicate character and full ensembles for a big and wide sound experience. The samples of each individual player in the ensemble instruments are carefully detuned, time-shifted, positioned in the stereo field, and mixed down to a 24-bit stereo mix, resulting in a warm symphonic string sound.Thirty-two articulations have been recorded with up to 8 dynamic layers each. Articulations include seven different sustains, twelve different shorts, and thirteen special articulations such as run ups, repetitions, trills, octaves, and cluster clouds. Used in combination with intelligent legato and portamento, these articulations help musicians enhance their performance by allowing them to experience the feel and sound characteristics of the real instruments played live.Chris Hein Ensemble Strings comes with the latest NI Kontakt Player, so no extra software is required to get you started. The sample library is compatible with both Mac and Windows platforms. It can run in standalone mode, or operate within VST, AU, or AAX formats.
