Product description Available for download, this complete version of Chris Hein Orchestral Brass from Best Service gives you three trumpets, three trombones, and three horns in virtual instrument form. The library features 50,000 samples in a 12GB download, offering you nine solo instruments as well as three different ensembles. It can complement any orchestral library devoid of brass or be used on its own, and thus, is useful in the orchestration of classical compositions, film scores, or pop songs in need of brass support. Chris Hein Orchestral Brass is powered by the included Native Instruments Kontakt Player, is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, and can operate in standalone, AU, VST and AAX formats. - Phase-Aligned Samples
- Each instrument is built upon up to 8,000 single samples that have been phase-aligned to ensure a seamless transition between dynamic layers, of which there are up to eight per instrument.
- Articulations
- 14 articulations are available in this library, including sustain, crescendo, flutter-tongue, rip, fall, and more. 26 pre-programmed key-switch presets in the lower octaves offer different ways of triggering articulation switches.
- True Legato
- The instruments of Chris Hein Orchestral Brass Complete offer true legato for more realistic note transitions of both short and sustained tones. At the same time, it is possible to combine these realistic combinations with additional artificial inserted legatos.
- Note-Head Designer
- With real musical instruments, the length of a note influences attack behavior as well as the note's release. Chris Hein Orchestral Brass addresses this aspect of natural playing with its Note-Head Designer, wherein matching short-sample variations (Shorts) can be instantiated using controls or MIDI-controllers. These Shorts not only offer the correct corresponding attack-behavior in relation to the overall note—they also provide a release that matches the note length. These user-defined selections of note variations are available in up to eight dynamic layers and can be combined with corresponding sustained phases, leading to realistic results that cannot be achieved using random round-robin-based selections. These shorts are also available as individual articulations.
- Close Mic'd for More Options in Post
- These instruments were close mic'd with well-regarded pieces of gear (Neumann microphones, for instance) to engender a dry and precise tone, one that is well suited for mixing in post. However, you can make use of the included dual convolution reverbs to adapt the instruments to various situations. The Kontakt Player permits free instrument-placement in the stereo panorama, and separate convolution engines for the corpus-sound (body) and the ambiance (room) to aid in recreating any spatial environment, ranging from close intimacy to large orchestral halls.
