Product description Best Service's Chris Hein Solo Violin EXtended is a virtual instrument powered by the included Native Instruments Kontakt Player to give you the sound of—and precise control over—a Modern solo violin, an antique Italian violin, a French violin, and an Original 1826 violin. This 9.4GB library comprises over 34,000 samples, affording you 38 articulations, four dynamic layers of legato transition, as well as phase alignment of all samples to provide smooth, inaudible crossfading among eight separate velocity layers.
All four instruments are offered as EX instruments, which are optimized for playability and performance with fast load times and low memory requirements. In addition to the usual articulations such as legato and portamento, Chris Hein brings you special effects and more esoteric articulations, allowing experimental musicians and film composers to explore the possibilities of flautando, flageolets, and ponticello. The special effects provided are bolstered by an internal DSP rack housed within the Kontakt instrument. This sample library is compatible with both Mac and Windows platforms. It can run in standalone mode, or operate within VST, AU, or AAX formats.
