Product description For adding a Far Eastern flavor to music projects, Peking Opera Percussion from Big Fish Audio delivers layered Chinese percussion instruments in four categories - Jingda, Drum, Bell, and Cymbal/Gong. The sounds were sampled with the most often used Chinese percussion articulations, and some layers are sampled with up to sixteen velocity layers for detailed and dynamic reproduction.
Most of the layers have their own screen layout to assist in learning how the actual instruments look while listening to their sound. Drum layers are mapped with a roll crossfade, which can be controlled via MIDI controller CC1 for reproducing a realistic crescendo, and all layers feature both close and room microphone positions, with a dry/wet control to adjust the balance between them. - INSTRUMENTS
Jingda
Two sets of Peking Opera Percussion which include Bangu, Ban, Muyu, Gong, and Cymbal. MIDI files contain a lower section of new grooves made by composer Zhang Jian, while the higher section are traditional grooves, including various intros and endings, which can be used to reproduce the Peking Opera scene
Jingda Wen
Percussion set is lower in pitch, which is commonly used in non-action type scenes
Jingda Wu
Percussion set is higher in pitch mainly used for action, fight or similar kinds of scenes - DRUMS

Set of small drums, totaling twelve pieces, include one shot and their roll crossfade - BELLS
Bianzhong
Important instrument in ancient China's ritual and court music and sampled from a replica of the original Bianzhong, Marquis Yi of Zeng, which was excavated in the1970's and has a history of more than 2,000 years - the instrument has three rows and some bells have identical pitches on different rows, each producing a different tone
