Product description Raging Guitars from Big Fish Audio is a guitar virtual instrument with a choice of multiple amplifiers and levels of distortion, mono and stereo files and extra long files. Articulations include sustained notes, chugs, hammer-ons, bends and lots more. Also included are bonus guitar loops that can be time stretched to match the tempo of a tune automatically. The sounds are accessed through the included KONTAKT player that provides access to eight custom knobs. These control attack, release, low EQ, high EQ, reverb, volume and tune. The product ships on 3 DVDs, with over 11GB of data. Raging Guitars functions as follows: - Stand-alone under ASIO, Core Audio or DirectSound
- Plug-in for applications supporting VST, Audio Units and RTAS for Mac OS X
- Plug-in for applications supporting VST, RTAS and DXi for Windows XP
- Virtual guitar instrument featuring dozens of different patches chromatically sampled at various distortion levels with various tones and articulations
- Seventeen "construction kits" are provided with pre-built riffs and variations, in a variety of keys and tempos. All can be tempo-synced or can be played in slices, REX-file style
- Patches are divided up into folders containing chords, chugs, construction kits, extras, hammer-ons, muted, octaves and single notes
- The "chords" folder contains major, minor, add9 and power chords, all sampled at various levels of distortion. Also provided are keyswitch patches that enable one to build a song using any combination of the different types of chords
- The "extras" folder contains guitar-related special effects such as feedback, fret noise, mute strums and more
- The "chugs," "hammer-ons," "muted," "octaves" and "single notes" folders all contain numerous variations on those specific articulations, some sampled in mono and others in stereo, at various distortion levels. Many feature mod wheel switching to allow for access to multiple articulations at once
