Product description The BitFenix Whisper 80 Plus Gold Modular Power Supply comes with a quad-rail design that delivers a total of 850W of power for your desktop's internal components. The Whisper features an 80 Plus rating for efficiently managing power as well as modular cables that allow you the option to use only the cables you need. Moreover, this power supply supports systems running with two processors by offering two 4+4-pin CPU cables.
The Whisper provides six 6+2-pin PCIe, twelve SATA, and four molex connectors. For cooling, a 135mm fan is on board and spins at 497 rpm during 70% or lower loads to help create a quiet environment. - Efficiency Layout
- Whisper is a nearly-silent power supply with an 80+ Gold Efficiency certification. Because of the high efficiency layout, the Whisper is capable of functioning with a very-low noise and heat levels while providing stable currents at high loads.
- Intelligent Fan-Curve
- With an intelligent fan control curve, the fan's speed is intelligently controlled to minimize the noise levels while maintaining optimum temperatures. Whisper can operate at room temperature with minimum noise even at 60% load, meaning that the noise level is virtually quiet even carrying out intensive work loads.
- Cooling
- Whisper M comes with a 135mm FDB fan that starts working at a low voltage of 3.5V. The fan can start working at 500 rpm ± 10%. With low bearing noise and high life expectancy of the fan, the Whisper can operate at noise levels lower than 18 dBA while PSU load is lower than 60% at 77°F (25°C).
- Efficiency
- The Whisper is rated at a Power Factor of 0.99 and is efficient with an 80+ Gold efficiency certification. With an 87+ (20% to 100% load)/90+ (40% to 70% load) high efficiency design, the Whisper saves both energy and money for the user while providing stable power output at a low-noise level.
- Environmental Friendly
- Generate up to 80% less heat and consume 30% less power than standard PSU's. The Whisper also fully supports Intel C6/C7 Sleep States, which consume much less energy when the system is in sleep mode. It also has LLC, Active PFC, and DC-to-DC circuit.
- Quad Rails
- A dedicated quad-rail design together with an advanced voltage switching circuit from +12V to minor rail provides a stable output. The +12V rails are dedicated as Motherboard + Peripherals, CPU, GPU 1, and GPU 2. These rails have dedicated Over Current Protection (OCP) circuits to keep your components safe. The Whisper can deliver full power on +12V rails due to the use of practical set current load limits on different rails. Unlike other multi-rail PSUs, the Whisper has a higher current capacity on GPU rails to support power-hungry graphics cards and other components based on the actual demand with a dynamic power delivery.
- DC-to-DC Circuit
- With the use of a separate DC-to-DC circuit to convert +12V to +5V and +3.3V, the output current from the Whisper is stable and smooth, which increases the system's stability as well as durability of the components.
- User-Friendly Design
- To further ease the use of a multi-rail design, users can easily refer to the labeled power distribution table printed directly on the PSU to know how much power each rail supports. Connections are also individually labeled with the dedicated rails to connect the correct cable to provide sufficient power.
- Modular Cables
- The thick, 18AWG DC power cables are fully modular with a flat ribbon-style design. The CPU and PCI-E 2.0 cables are 25.6" (650mm) long to fit in virtually any chassis. In addition, electronic components are built into the cables and connectors to increase durability as well as the overclocking potential of the components.
