Product description Multi-Monitors: Maximizing Multitasking Read More The 2-Input 1-Output Compact VGA Switch with Audio from Black Box enables a single monitor with audio to be switched between two video/audio sources. It supports video cable distances up to 150', 1600 x 1200 resolution, and audio. You can control this device manually by pushing a button, via an RS-232 control device (serial cable is included), set it up to scan between VGA inputs at certain time intervals, or display VGA inputs based on their priority. The switch enables you to set priority on either input when both inputs are active when it is set up to scan ports in Auto mode. If you set priority on the second input, for instance, and someone plugs a device into that port, it will switch automatically to that port.You can use the switch in a conference room where two laptop users can take turns projecting their screen images onto a single big-screen VGA monitor viewed by all. It is also useful anywhere you need to use fewer monitors for displaying video sources. - Buffered video output protects the signal integrity
- Front-panel lockout prevents accidental or intentional setting changes
- You can blank and unblank an output via a serial port command. You can also blank output from one source or switch manually
- LED indicates the selected input source
