Product description With the 3G-SDI/HD-SDI to HDMI Converter from Black Box it is possible to use a consumer grade HDMI display to view video from and SD-, HD-, or 3G-SDI source. The converter supports most SDI formats up to 1080p, and will output an HDMI signal in a format that corresponds to the input resolution and frame rate. Among countless possible uses, it can be used as away to inexpensive monitor SDI video in a broadcast environment, to connect AV displays such as projectors and video walls to a live switcher, or combine it with an HDMI to SDI converter (such as VSC-HDMI-SDI) in order to overcome the normal distance limitation of standard HDMI cable.
The converter passes up to eight-channels of SDI-embedded audio, including 7.1-channel and 5.1-channel formats and Dolby TrueHD audio. It features a loop-through output for SDI so that you can also send a signal to a downstream device, such as a local monitor, without requiring a separate distribution amplifier. - Cable equalization and reclocking enables cables runs of up to 300' for 3G-SDI, 500 for HD-SDI, and 1000' for SD-SDI (depending on cable quality and the presence of sources of RF interference)
- Provides digitally-only SDI-to-HDMI conversion, designed to ensure no loss in the conversion of either the audio or video signal
- DIP switches audio embedding settings and configuration
- Wallmountable for space-saving installation
