Product description The ACU3001A ServSwitch Micro KVM (VGA/PS/2) over CAT5 Single-Access Extender Kit by Black Box, comprised of a local transmitter unit and a remote receiver unit, enables you to place a VGA monitor, a PS/2 keyboard, and a PS/2 mouse at a distance of up to 160' from your PC's CPU using a CAT5 cable. The maximum resolution supported is 1280 x 1024. The local unit is connected directly to a PC's CPU using the included three-to-one cable. The monitor, keyboard & mouse are attached to the remote unit. All KVM signals are fully buffered to ensure consistent remote operation of your PC.
The remote unit draws its power from the included external supply, and the local unit is powered by the connection from the CPU's keyboard port. A single DIP switch is set to tell the extender whether to equalize for CAT5 cable shorter or longer than 82'. For smooth operation, the extender buffers all the signals that pass between the CPU and the remote user station. Because the local unit always emulates a directly attached keyboard and mouse, you can unplug and replug any keyboard or mouse attached to the extender at any time without disrupting the booting or operation of your CPU. - Full-featured KVM extension with a pair of pocket-sized boxes
- Extends KVM signals up to 160'
- Supports resolutions up to 1280 x 1024
- Adjustable video equalization compensates for cable losses
- Fully buffered signals for transparent remote operation
