Product description The AVU5001A Wizard Multimedia (VGA/Audio) over CATx Extender Local Unit with Local Access by Black Box is a standalone unit designed to transmit VGA video and stereo audio signals over a CATx cable (CAT5 or higher) and to connect to one of the ports of a compatible Wizard multimedia dual-video/stereo audio remote unit (not included) located at a distance of up to 1000'. The unit supports video resolutions of up to 1280 x 1024 at 984.2' and 1600 x 1280 at 656.1', as well as high-fidelity 16-bit, 44.1kHz stereo audio. The local unit's output connectors can be used either for connecting a local screen and speakers or for cascading other local transmitter units. You can have up to 3 cascade connections between the primary local unit (the one connected to the source PC) and any remote unit. The cascade connections can be all at the transmitter end, all at the receiver end, or a mixture of both. The unit features spike suppression for electrically noisy environments. It is compatible with the AVU5011A and the AVU5111A-R2 Wizard multimedia extender remote receiver units and is suited to digital signage and narrowcasting applications. - Compatible with AVU5011A and AVU5111A-R2 Wizard multimedia extender dual-video/stereo remote units
