Product description The Black Box HDMI Repeater allows you to connect a distant HDMI source to an HDMI display near you. Featuring an HDMI input and output, it supports an HD signal on the input side from up to 114 ft away, or low resolution signal from up to 164 ft, and it regenerates and outputs the signal in full video and audio quality. High-quality cabling is recommended. An 8-position cable equalization DIP switch lets you optimize your signal based on cable length. The output end supports the standard HDMI cable length of 16 ft.
On the high quality end, the repeater supports up to 1080p HDTV and 1920 x 1200 VESA video, 3D video, 36-bit Deep Color, and uncompressed and compressed audio, such as LPCM and Dolby Digital. For input distances under 40 ft, a power supply won't be required, as your HDMI source will provide all the power necessary for signal transmission, regeneration, and output. Even much longer distances may not need a power supply, depending on the quality of the signal, environmental interference, and other factors. But for long distances, such as the max distance of 164 ft, you may need an optional power adapter (Black Box model # VR-HDMI-PSU) if you find sufficient power not being supplied. - Key Features
