Product description The HDMI to 3G-SDI/HD-SDI Converter from Black Box allows you to convert an HDMI signal so that it conforms to SDI broadcast standards. It will accept most non-HDCP-encrypted SD and HD formats up to 1080p60, outputting via SD-, HD-, or 3G-SDI as dictated by the incoming resolution and frequency. This device finds application in professional video environments such as TV studios and live switching setups that need to incorporate feeds from consumer HDMI sources, such as camcorders, into their broadcast. It can also be used in AV installations as a way of overcoming the distance limitations of HDMI. By combining the HDMI to 3G-SDI/HD-SDI Converter with an SDI to HDMI converter (such as VSC-SDI-HDMI) you can use the pair to bridge two pieces of HDMI equipment.
The converter passes up to eight-channels of HDMI-embedded audio, including 7.1-channel and 5.1-channel formats and Dolby TrueHD audio. It features dual mirrored SDI outputs so that you can connect to two downstream devices without requiring a separate distribution amplifier. - HDMI input support HDMI Deep Color
- EDID learning for optimal source-to-screen communications
- Configurable using DIP switches
- Wallmountable for space-saving installation.
