Product description The VGA/HDTV Scaler Plus from Black Box provides scaling and scan conversion so that two otherwise incompatible analog component or VGA video devices can work together. It will accept RGBHV, Y-Pb-Pr, Y-Cb-Cr input signals and, after any necessary conversion will output RGBHV or Y-Pb-Pr. It supports input and output resolutions from 640 x 480 (VGA) to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) for computer and 480i/576i (NTSC/PAL) to 1080p for component (HDTV) sources. The I/O connectors are of VGA type, however they can be adapted to component using a passive VGA to component adapter. Also, a component to VGA adapter is included as well as one VGA to VGA cable.
Scaling functionally allows the VGA/HDTV Scaler Plus to overcome a mis-match between the source device's resolution and the resolution(s) the display will expect. For example, a DVD player may only output 480i or 1080i while the projector it is connected to will only accept 1024 x 768 (XGA). With this product these sorts of incompatibility issues will no longer be a problem. - Loop-through (bypass) output passes unprocessed signal for local monitoring
- Able to invert the VGA output horizontally or mirror the image, making it suitable for teleprompters and rear-projection systems (for VGA to VGA applications only)
- Fine-tune the output picture by adjusting the resolution and refresh rates
- Automatically detects the input mode and timing parameters
- Operated via push-button controls and an on-screen display menu
- Adjust sampling clock, phase, and position on screen
- Internal memory enables real-time frame-rate capture and conversion
- Enclosure is EMI shielded
