Product description Help protect your data from threats such as cyber attacks and communication monitoring using the Enigma USB Hardware Encryption Device from BlackSquare Technologies. The Enigma is a USB hardware encryption and decryption device that can encrypt files and folders on any device that can be recognized by your computer, including internal and external drives, data stored in the cloud, NAS drives, and more. You can encrypt one file, multiple files, a single folder or multiple folders, all with a single click. BlackSquare Enigma is a simple, safe, and secure way to help protect your data from data theft, device theft, and hacking.
Using the Enigma, encrypted files and folders are easy to recognize. The small icon identifying the default program for each file changes to a black square with a "b2 and an additional file extension (.BKSQ for BlackSquare) will be added. BlackSquare's Enigma is FIPS-140-2 (level 2) certified, comes with very strong AES-256-CBC encryption, and has been certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Canada's Communications Security Establishment (CSE).
If you lose your Enigma, simply replace it. Once you have initialized your new Enigma and recreated your logon password, you're good to go. BlackSquare Enigma is compatible with both Windows and Mac and is transparent to the operating system. When you remove Enigma from your computer, all Enigma windows automatically disappear. All the recovery keys needed to decrypt your files reside within Enigma's security and not on your computer, leaving no data behind for cyber thieves to use. - Safe
- Your BlackSquare Enigma will go through an initialization process the first time you use it, which taking a minute or two. This process consists of connecting an external USB storage device to your Enigma and plugging the pair into your PC or Mac.
You will be asked to initialize your Enigma. Click OK. Then create a strong password up to 32 characters in length. This will become your logon password; the initialization of your Enigma is complete. If you lose your Enigma, simply replace it. Once you have initialized your new Enigma and recreated your logon password, you are good to go. - Secure

- Two-Factor-Authentication (2FA) Model
- BlackSquare has implemented a two-factor-authentication (2FA) model using passwords. If the Enigma and your data - your laptop, for example - are stolen together, a cyber thief would need both your logon password and your file recovery password(s) to gain access to your encrypted files
- Optional Subscription Update Service
- To ensure each BlackSquare Enigma customer has the latest in features and enhancements, BlackSquare will provide an optional subscription update service. The purpose of the update is to provide enhancements and functional updates that have been extensively tested and approved
- Drag-and-Drop or Right Click
- BlackSquare has provided a complete menu of features for both File and Folder operations. Use 'right-click' for menu driven options or drag the files or folders and drop them on the appropriate icon at the top of the page
- Windows & Mac Compatible
- Compatible with Windows XP and newer, as well as Mac OS X thru 10.8.x, both 32 and 64-bit
