Product description Celebrating 10 years of bringing you UK tone, the Blackstar Artisan 10AE is a 10W combo amplifier with a single 12" Celestion 70/80 speaker. It's designed to give you the iconic tone of Blackstar amps in a form-factor more suitable for home studios, home practice, and small venues.
This is a low-gain amplifier designed to give you a classic crunch tone. It utilizes an ECC83 tube in the preamp section as well as a EL34 power tube, resulting in warm, UK-style grit when pushed hard. Gain, tone, reverb, and master volume controls are on hand; but switch on the hot preamp boost, and you'll effect an authentically chunky sound, one that is a great timbre for rock and indie music. Use it for rhythm or as a lead tone in the style of Billy Gibbons.
Quarter-inch speaker outputs are on hand for 8- and 16-Ohm cabinets. You'll also find a 1/4" emulated speaker output that is tapped directly after the power amp to ensure you get the tone of your EL34-fueled power-amp stage. This output is stereo, so you can use it with headphones as well as PAs, recording interfaces, and mixers.
An effects loop lets you route external gear right into the amplifier's path, and a footswitch input gives you control over the boost and reverb sections. A single-button footswitch for controlling the boost is included (you must press the boost button so it is on for the footswitch to work).
