Product description Celebrating 10 years of bringing you guitar tone, the Blackstar Artist 10AE is a 10W combo amplifier with a single 12" Celestion 70/80 speaker. The amp is intended to give you the iconic tone of Blackstar amps in a form-factor more suitable for home studios, home practice, and small venues.
This is a low-gain amplifier designed to give you a bright clean tone and a searing lead sound. Boasting a wide sweeping frequency range, the amp utilizes an ECC83 tube in the preamp section as well as a 6L6 power tube, resulting in a clear, bright tone in softer settings and a searing, harmonically-rich overdrive when the drive is engaged. The drive section, modeled on the company's HT-Drive pedal, is engineered to take you from a crunchier sound to one that facilitates smooth, legato lines. In addition to the switchable drive control, the amp provides gain, tone, reverb, and master volume knobs.
Quarter-inch speaker outputs are on hand for 8- and 16-Ohm cabinets. You'll also find a 1/4" emulated speaker output that is tapped directly after the power amp to ensure that you get the tone of your EL34-fueled power-amp stage. This output is stereo, so you can use it with headphones as well as PAs, recording interfaces, and mixers.
An effects loop lets you route external gear right into the amplifier's path, and a footswitch input gives you control over the boost and the reverb sections. A single-button footswitch for controlling the boost is included; you must have the boost button pressed on for the footswitch to work.
