Product description The Blue Sky International Star System One Sub 12D - 12" Digital Powered Subwoofer is designed for professional monitoring and personal listening applications. The unit features both XLR analog inputs and AES/EBU digital inputs with a switch that will automatically select the digital signal when both sources are connected. It also features analog and digital outputs for connecting to additional subwoofers. A bank of DIP switch allows you to select +24 dBu/+12 dBu max analog output, +24 dBu/+12 dBu max analog input, sub direct digital in L/R, and sub crossover mode on / sub direct mode on.
The subwoofer utilizes a 12" high excursion cast frame woofer with a ferrite motor powered by a 400W amplifier to deliver a frequency response of 25 to 200 Hz ±1.5 dB. For circuit design, it features FR4 6-layer circuit boards, Burr-Brown 24-bit 192 kHz A/D/A conversion, and a Cirrus Logic Digital receiver and sample rate converter. The subwoofer can also operate in "pure-digital" mode at either 48 or 96 kHz sample rate wherein the input from the AES/EBU digital receiver is routed directly to the subwoofer's DAC.
The devices includes a 2.1 Bass Mass Management system with variable crossover frequency adjustments, low pass filters, high pass filters, a 1/3 octave 31-band digital graphic equalizer, pink noise generator, selectable parametric equalizer, room correction, and an adjustable gain control. The DSP settings can be controlled using Blue Sky's BOO optimization software on a PC computer. The subwoofer is designed and assembled in the USA. - Digital Inputs
