Product description Pairing a versatile and unique bare bulb flash with a broad array of light modifiers and power supplies, the Bolt VB-22 Bare-Bulb Flash and Accessory Kit from includes the on-camera strobe, power pack, extra battery, a host of light modifiers, a radio transmitter and receiver, and extension, doubler, and splitter cables. The VB-22's bare-bulb design produces a quality of light similar to studio strobes with the added advantage of being a compact, shoe-mounted light. It has an output of 360Ws, a guide number of 262' at ISO 100, and covers lenses as wide as 28mm. The locking head design can be tilted from -15 to +90° and rotated 135° left or 180° right for greater control over positioning. Fully manually operation avails power settings from 1/1 to 1/128 and when attached to the included Cyclone DR PP-400DR Dual Outlet Power Pack, recycle times between 0.1-5.2 seconds are possible. The included pack's dual outlet design permits powering up to two heads at the same time, and depending on the configuration, up to 1400 flashes per charge are possible. The pack includes one removable battery and this kit also includes one additional 11.1V, 4500mAh PP-400BP Cyclone DR lithium-ion battery pack. Also offering versatile power options, this kit includes a 15' extension cable for a long working range between the flash and battery; a PP-DC Doubler Cable to help cut recycle times in half by using both outlets of the pack to power the single flash; and a PP-SC Splitter Cable to permit powering two separate flashes from a single outlet of the pack. Additionally, this kit also includes the dedicated Bolt 16-channel radio transmitter and receiver kit to permit wireless triggering of the flash. For greater control over the bare bulb flash's appearance, a series of lighting modifiers are included for fine-tuning the output of the light. A clip-on 50° grid narrows the light beam and increases the contrast and hardness of the light, and red, yellow, blue, and green colored filters can be used for creative effects. The 12" beauty dish produces a soft, yet crisp light quality and also includes a 40° grid for more control. The snoot set includes both cone and tube snoots, and both feature built-in 40° grids for tight, pinpoint lighting. Additionally, the umbrella mounting kit also enables the attachment of optional umbrellas up to 45" and includes a wide-angle reflector for a broad quality of light. - Bolt VB-22 Bare-Bulb Flash Featuring a bare-bulb design and an output of 360Ws, the Bolt VB-22 Bare-Bulb Flash is a specialized shoe-mount flash unit that offers users a quality of light similar to studio strobes in a compact, portable package. The bare bulb design provides a full 360° specular light and is able to work with a variety of optional light modifiers, such as an umbrella mount, colored filters, and grids for creating distinct lighting effects.
The unit features a powerful guide number of 262' at ISO 100 and covers about 28mm when used with the included reflector. The flash can also be used as an optical slave at a range of up to 33'. This mode has two settings to control whether to trigger the flash immediately when the master is fired or to ignore a single preflash.
The VB-22 flash also features a stroboscopic, or repeat, mode that allows the unit to fire multiple flashes in a row, meaning users can capture multiple images of a subject in a single exposure. The locking head can rotate 135° right and 180° left as well as tilt from -15 to 90° for added control and versatility. Additionally, the unit is fully manual and offers power settings from 1/1 to 1/128. The flash does require power from an optional external power pack which will provide a recycle time of approximately 0.1 to 5.2 seconds. It comes with a retaining ring, diffuser, reflector, power cable, protective pouch, a stand/tripod mount, a stand mounting foot, and a shoe mounting foot. - Interchangeable shoe and stand mounts that allow more secure attachment to either a light stand, tripod, or shoe

It works with most on-camera flash units with high-voltage (HV) connections, including those from Nikon, Canon, Sony, Bolt, Sunpak, Quantum, Vivitar, and Metz (cables required and sold separately). The pack has a fast recycle time of approximately 1 sec and provides up to 1400 full-power flashes, depending on the flash and settings used. The Cyclone DR's flash cable ports can be locked once the cable is attached, making the connection extra secure. The unit weighs a mere 1.2 lb.
The power pack's microcontroller unit prevents overheating via integrated software and hardware protection. The included PP-400BP Cyclone DR Battery Pack is removable, allowing you to charge it while powering the Cyclone power pack with a second identical battery (sold separately). Also supplied is a 2-prong 100-240 VAC charger for worldwide use. Four LED's indicate remaining battery charge; one light on means 25% or lower, two lights mean 25-50%, three mean 50-75%, and all four mean 75% or higher. Additionally, the Cyclone DR comes with an adjustable neoprene shoulder strap that has a non-slip rubber underside and a quick-release buckle. It attaches to the strap lug on the power pack. The Cyclone also features a built-in belt clip, as well as two rubberized feet for stability. It's also capable of turning the AF assist on or off on flash units that have this feature. It is also compatible with Interfit Strobies flash heads.
