Product description Made specifically for bass guitar, the BOSS ME-50B Bass Multi-Effects Processor houses amp models and effects tuned to the lower frequencies produced by bass guitars. The front-panel design features knobs that each control a single function, allowing you to program and adjust your tone in real time without "menu diving". The footswitches control the effects much like individual pedals on a board. Up to 24 banks of custom patches can be stored in the ME-50B's internal memory, each with their own amp models and effects that can be turned on and off.Amps and effects are modeled using BOSS's COSM (Composite Object Sound Modeling) technology, delivering tones based on vintage, classics, and modern amps, capable of producing well-known and never-before-heard tones. The effects selection includes limiting, compression, filters, tone-shaping, overdrives, distortions, mods, reverb, delays, and more modeled from BOSS and other famous manufacturers. - Effects

Effects for Expression Pedal: Foot Volume, Wah, Resonance, Bend (+1 OCTAVE, -1 OCTAVE), Sound Hold, Kick Drum - Independent COSM Compressor/Limiter and EQ
- The ME-50B features two dedicated sections for these essential effects. The Compressor/Limiter uses COSM modeling—including a "Natural" compression setting that retains the nuances of your playing—to give you tight, punchy tone. Simply select the compressor "Type" and adjust the Sustain/Threshold knob to get the tone you want. The Master section includes a 3-band EQ with a sweepable mid for precise tonal shaping.
- Filter/Tone Effects
- The ME-50B includes a variety of tone-shaping effects just for bass. These include a handy "Octave Up" effect, which adds a note one octave above the original while retaining your natural bass sound—complete with adjustable drive on the octave-shifted note—plus favorites like Slow Gear, T-Wah and a Defretter effect for instant fretless sounds. Using the Tone effect preset, you can get quick tonal variations with preset EQs like "Bottom Boost" and "Mid Shape."
- Warm Overdriven Sounds
- Want some extra bite? Switch on the ME-50B's Drive effects, which include settings like "Muff Fuzz," "Bass Driver," "Natural", and "Metal" to give you a range of overdriven/distorted sounds. A new "Hi Band" effect creates a distorted sound on the high frequencies while keeping the lower frequencies intact—perfect for creating complex tones while keeping your original playing dynamics. There are also four synth bass sounds with superb tracking and natural feel.
- Expanded Sound On Sound
- Looping functionality on the ME-50B branches beyond Sound On Sound phrase looping. The ME-50B offers a Kick Drum function so players can tap in their own kick drum beats, and create loops over those. Players can also activate the Sound Hold function with a footswitch. The Sound Hold function can endlessly sustain a low note, allowing you to play over it, creating a multi-layered performance with only a single instrument.
