Product description Create exciting rhythmic mayhem with the BOSS SL-20 Slicer. The Slicer is a percussive melody generator which can use one of 50 Slice patterns at a tempo you select to create guitar sounds with a serious groove. Using the stereo outputs, those sounds can be expanded further for spacious panned effects. Tempo can be selected via tapping the footswitch or with a MIDI clock sync. An external expression pedal can be plugged in to control attack, duration, effect level, and direct level for varying your performance. - Groove and Melody Maker
- The SL-20 transforms your music into percussive "chopped" grooves. Fifty rhythmic patterns are onboard, with adjustable note attack and duration, plus Harmonic Slice effects. Create high-energy patterns onstage in real-time, or use the SL-20 as a songwriting and recording tool. You can also play the sliced sounds in realtime while capturing them with Loop Record
- Flexible Control
- An internal tap-tempo feature is included, as well as the ability to sync to an external MIDI clock. Sound characteristics of the SL-20 such as attack, duration, effect level, and direct level can be controlled by the onboard knobs or from an external expression pedal
- Universal Effect
- The SL-20 is great for guitarists, but it's equally useful for other instrumentalists as well. Plug in a bass, keyboard, portable music player, or any other instrument or music-playback device. DJs and dance-music artists can also incorporate the SL-20 as a rhythmic-performance tool live and in the studio
- Rugged Design with Flexible Power Options
- The SL-20 can run off of six AA batteries or an optional external 9 VDC power supply. The electronics are encased in a durable dual-pedal metal housing with a non-slip rubber base. This pedal utilizes a buffered bypass for silent switching and driving long cable runs, even while the pedal is disengaged
