Product description Intended for electric guitar players, the BOSS Waza Amp Head 75 is a four-channel, 75W amplifier head with three speaker outputs, two analog line outputs, a headphone output, and a USB port for recording sound from the amp straight to your computer. The amplifier utilizes a solid-state design, though it can be voiced to give you the sound of a tube amplifier at loud or quiet volumes, thanks to a Power Control switch and its Amplifier knob. This knob boasts three selection points: Internal, A, and B. Internal provides the sound of a modeled EL34 tube amplifier, while A and B provide access to two installable tone capsules that significantly change the tone of the amplifier. By default, the amp ships with one tone capsule which aims to give you the famed Waza Brown Sound, though it can be swapped up for other options.Four channels are provided for clean, crunch, and two lead tones; all channels are switchable via the included foot controller. You’ll find controls for gain, channel volume, a three-knob tone stack, presence, and reverb. The Waza Amp Head 75 offers two effects loops, both of which are switchable between parallel and series. This amplifier is compatible with the matching Waza Amp Cabinet412 and Cabinet212, both available separately. To change the tone of these cabinets, a three-position Cabinet Resonance switch is provided. Similarly, to sculpt the tone of the included line outputs, you'll find a control labeled "Line Out Air Feel."MIDI control is offered via a 5-pin DIN input, while a bevy of analog connections can be seen on the rear panel, including three speaker outputs, a headphones output, two line outputs, two effects loop, a foot controller input, and a USB port. The Waza Amp Head 75 can be unscrewed from its case to be mounted in a standard 19” rack. When mounted, the amp will take up 3 RU. - Power Control
- No tube amp player can resist cranking up the volume to get a true feeling of how an amp performs at its peak. When the output section is really working, you get a richer overtone texture and a more dynamically responsive feel. With the Waza Amp Head 75's built-in power control capability, you can enjoy a harmonically rich tone at virtually any volume by switching the power control among 1, 15, 50, or 75W.
- Amplifier Switch
- With this switch, you can choose the basic tonal profile for the amplifier. The internal sound emulates amps that utilize EL34 tubes. The amp ships with a tone capsule pre-installed in slot A, which gives you the Waza Brown Sound. You can swap this tone capsule out with others available from BOSS, or add additional tone capsules to slot B.
- FX Loops
- The Waza Amp Head 75 includes features two effects loops with selectable parallel or series routing, which allow for creativity in combining your stompbox effects and rack gear with the amplifier. The parallel/series switch is found on the rear of the amp, and both loops can be engaged with the included foot controller.
- Line Outputs and Record Outputs
- A line output with switchable, emulated cabinet voicings is also included, allowing for direct connectivity to external mixers or recording devices. With the Air Feel switch, you can to change the sound character of the mic voicing to taste. XLR and 1/4" jacks are available for line-out purposes, though you'll also find a USB port for recording directly to your computer.
- Cabinet Resonance Switch
- A special Cabinet Resonance switch on the amp can help you sculpt the sound coloration of your connected cabinet. Included tones here are Vintage, Modern, and Deep.
- Included Foot Controller
- A foot controller is included, which allows you to switch between the four channels and turn on/disengage both effects loops. Also, two expression pedal inputs can be found on the back of the foot controller. These allow you continuous control over channel volume and master volume. Expression pedals are available separately.
