Product description A Guide to On-Camera Flash Read More Weighing only 11.1 oz, the SFD490 Digital Flash from Bower is a compact manual flash ideal for those that need a little boost in their lighting when shooting in the studio or outdoors. Mounting onto the hot shoe of your camera, it offers a guide number of 33' at ISO 100 and can be adjusted from full power down to 1/128 output to adapt to a wide range of scenarios. The unit can be easily adjusted for bouncing by tilting it 90° upwards, while a 270° rotation range and zoom capabilities from 28 to 85mm give you even more control over your composition. The SFD490 features a color temperature of 5800K, allowing it to match most daylight-balanced fixtures when used as a fill or secondary light source. A diffuser is available in a slot on the front, and can be pulled out and installed to soften the light output without needing other accessories. As for power, the flash runs on four user-supplied AA batteries and accepts alkaline, NiCd, or NiMH models, offering a maximum recycle time of 3 seconds for quick continuous shooting.
