Product description Protect your canvas and fine art prints with this 1-gallon bucket of glossy Glamour 2 Archival Print Varnish from Breathing Color. It's suitable for both spray and roll applications, though rolling is preferred. This proprietary canvas and giclee varnish has been developed to protect, preserve and enhance fine art and photographic prints produced on digital inkjet printers.
Glamour 2 is a non-yellowing, water-based varnish that will enhance the color of pigmented and ultrachrome inks on matte media, and increase resistance to image fading. It will protect your expensive images against moisture, abrasion, and UV rays. Glamour 2 has been specifically developed as a water-based product to avoid the unpleasant and hazardous fumes given off by solvent-based alternatives. Dilution is required. The varnish is a great compliment to Breathing Color's Brilliance Canvas range. The combination of Glamour 2 and Brilliance "Chromata White" Canvas (free of optical brightener additives) delivers one of the most archival and color-stable fine art reproductions available. - In smaller applications, Glamour 2 should be applied via roll brush. Only one coat is necessary.
- Can also be brush-applied, sprayed, and used in roll coaters.
- Self-leveling qualities make it virtually ideal for one-step, hassle-free coating with no streaks.
- Designed to be applied generously and spread around as quickly as possible.
- When rolling, dilute no more than 30% with distilled water. When spraying, dilute no more than 50% with distilled water (30% is ideal). Only use an HVLP gravity feed gun when spraying. Spray one heavy coat first, then about 30-45 min later, spray a thinner coat.
- Gloss and Matte finishes can be mixed together, enabling you to creatively produce your own perfect look and feel. Whether you want gloss, semi-gloss, or semi-matte, the choice is completely yours.
