Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More Breaking with tradition, Bresser forgoes the common 8x42 configuration and instead created their 8.5x45 Montana ED Binocular with a slight boost in magnification and larger objectives. The combination of increased power and objective diameter not only brings your subject in closer but also ensures the scene stays bright and crisp, even in low light conditions such as at dawn and dusk. Complementing the magnification and objectives are extra low-dispersion (ED) glass and phase-corrected prisms. ED glass corrects chromatic aberration for true color rendition, and the phase-correction coatings increase image contrast and color vibrancy to produce a truly immersive visual experience. Finally, all optical coatings are fully multi-coated with broadband anti-reflection coatings to reduce light loss and increase overall image quality in all lighting conditions.Bresser designed the Montana with a lightweight yet durable magnesium chassis. This offsets the weight of the larger objectives, to maintain a very manageable 26.3 ounce total weight. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and o-ring sealed to be water and fogproof, so they can hold up to extreme conditions and wide temperature swings, and rubber armoring on the exterior helps to protect it from impacts while providing you with a slip resistant grip, especially in cold and wet conditions. A 1/4"-20 threaded mount at the front of the center hinge allows the binocular to be mounted on a tripod with an optional adapter, for hands-free viewing. - Optical Performance
