Product description The Bretford MDMTAB36BP 36 Unit Tablet Cart (CTAL) supports the modern learning environment. This cart features a small footprint, an advanced Power Management System, and desktop cord management system. It comes with lockable front and back doors.
The Power Manager System is designed to continuously charge laptops using only 1 wall outlet. The system uses a Round Robin charging cycle that constantly evaluates the demand for power and concentrates on the devices that need it the most. The system inherently senses when batteries are nearing a full charge and automatically reduces power as required. The power manager not only prevents circuit tripping but also allows each set of device batteries to cool down between charging cycles, thereby extending their life.
The cart comes with 6-outlet power strips plugged into the power manager, which uses a standard 15 A wall outlet to regulate power in the cart. It is attached to the upper back left section of the interior cabinet and is accessed through the rear doors. The system includes LED indicator lights and 1 auxiliary outlet at the side of the cart to plug in a video projector or printer. Since the power manager dedicates power to the auxiliary outlet when in use, the risk of tripping the circuit is eliminated. The power management unit is overload protected and also includes a 9' (2.74 m) power cord. There is a divider panel that separates the computer / battery from the transformer, minimizing the transformer's heat impact on the battery; thus cooler batteries last longer.
There are locking slots in the front of the cart, which positions the cords so that they can be easily plugged into the device. The back of the cart features the removable cord management system.
Each cart has 2 shelves with individual laser-printed numbers for identification on every device slot. They also include full-access doors in the front for students and a choice of a panel or full-access door at the back for the person operating the cart. A unique locking handle can be opened using either a re-programmable combination or a key. This cart is UL60950 certified for safety of technology equipment. - The cart features 2 shelves with 18 compartments per shelf for up to 36 tablets, with laser-printed numbers for identification on every device slot. The shelf dividers store devices vertically and may be removed for storing larger items.
- It includes a unique Power Manager that works with a standard 15 A electrical circuit and is designed to analyze power requirements. The system constantly evaluates the amount of power that can be drawn, and safely and efficiently distributes current to the devices in a Round Robin cycle. The Power Manager not only prevents circuit tripping but also allows each set of device batteries to cool down between charging cycles, thereby extending their life.

- Cable management in the front positions power cords to plug into tablets. Cord management at the back of the cart is provided by removable plates with hook-and-loop fastener straps to secure cords and adapters. The interior divider panel separates the cart so that 75% of the cart is dedicated to the computers while the other 25% contains the cables and adapters. The holes in the divider panel allow the cables to pass through to the front of the cart and connect to the computers for charging. It is both a performance and security feature as it reduces the heat in the front compartment and protects the devices if access is gained through the back panel.

- Laser-cut ID numbers both at the front and back help keep computers and their cable sets in the right place and make it easy to identify if something is missing.

- Security is provided by the solid steel construction and a unique locking handle can be opened using either a re-programmable combination or a key.
- The top and side panels, and doors are perforated to dissipate the heat generated when charging and help keep the equipment cool. The left side panel includes a cord winder to keep the power cord neat and out of the way when not in use.
