Product description Built for home use, the LinkStation 4TB 520DN 2-Bay NAS Server from Buffalo is a customizable solution that is designed to serve as a data hub by making it easier to store, share, and secure digital content. It has an overall capacity of 4TB, which is made up of 2 x 2TB SATA II 3.5" NAS hard drives, and is further powered by a 1.1 GHz Realtek RTD1195N Dual-Core processor and 256MB of DDR3 RAM, giving this NAS the ability to simultaneously stream four HD movies via DLNA while backing up multiple computers. Connectivity to your network is accomplished using the Gigabit Ethernet port and other compatible external peripherals can be connected to the 520DN using its single USB 3.0 Type-A port.
For those who require RAID support, this NAS supports RAID 0 for enhanced data transfer speeds, or RAID 1 for 1:1 data redundancy. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD is also available. The LinkStation 520DN is compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android platforms and also supports the TCP/IP protocol and SMB/CIFS, AFP, FTP/FTPS, and HTTP/HTTPS network file services.
