Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More Combining comfort and performance, the Burris Optics 8x42 Signature HD Binocular features phase-corrected high-density BAK4 roof prisms, low-dispersion glass, and fully multi-coated optics that work together to maximize light transmission and limit internal light-loss, which all translates to bight and crisp high-contrast images with accurate color fidelity without comas or halos. Add to this impressive performance an extra-long eye relief, comfortable exit pupil, twist-up eyecups, and a large focus wheel; and users are presented with an immersive observational experience on the trail, at the range, or in the wild.To help improve grip strength and overall stability, Burris built this version with an open-bridge that opens the middle of the optic to allow fingers to wrap around the tubes, and dual hinges that support the front and rear of the tubes, and keep the barrels parallel and aligned. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be watertight and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes. Its lightweight and durable aluminum alloy chassis is wrapped in a protective slip-resistant rubber armoring, and textured palm pads provide additional grip strength — especially in cold and wet weather. - Optical Performance
