Product description The black HDMI Audio De-Embedder from C2G splits the audio off a HDMI signal and converts it into either a Toslink or RCA S/PDIF signal, or a 3.5mm Analog Stereo audio signal. This device allows you to use separate speakers or an audio system with something that only has one HDMI output. This HDMI Audio De-Embedder is suitable for projector installations where the projector does not provide an audio output and the system design calls for the use of an amplified audio reinforcement system. This de-embedder is easy to setup—simply connect the HDMI and audio cables and turn the system on.The HDMI Audio De-Embedder features 2 audio modes: when set to Mode A, it allows EDID signals to pass-through between the source and display, which automatically sets the audio output to the best common digital audio performance level. When set to Mode B, the de-embedder allows the digital audio output of the source to be set independently of the capabilities of the display. In both the modes, the digital audio must be output through the Toslink or RCA port of the de-embedder. The 3.5mm output on the de-embedder requires the source to be set to PCM audio mode. Note: Digital signals such as Dolby Digital and DTS audio from the source device are supported through the Toslink and RCA port. The 3.5mm port supports PCM audio signals from the source device. The source device must be set to a PCM audio mode to use the 3.5mm audio output. - Separates HDMI audio from HDMI video
- Supports a maximum video resolution of 1080p with 3D support
- Support for analog and digital audio output
