Product description Provided by third party: The CT-COMP-EXT is a video/digital audio balun kit consisting of two interchangeable units (a transmitter and receiver) that boosts component video/audio transmission distance up to 1000 feet. With low-cost CAT-5/5e or CAT-6 cable, users can easily extend component sources from digital set top boxes, DVD players, game consoles, PC and other sources to distant component-enabled televisions. The transmission distances between the two units can be up to 1,000 feet at 480i/p, 500 feet for 720p and 1080i, and 500 feet for digital audio. All transmission distances are measured using Belden CAT-5e cable.
