Product description The CAS1500 Cassette Player/Recorder from Califone is a compact and durable cassette player and recorder that's ideal for use in schools, libraries, and other learning environments. The unit is made from rugged ABS plastic and offers a built-in microphone and speaker so you can record and playback audio without any additional equipment. The 500mW amplifier is loud enough for classes of up to 20 people, ideal for group learning.
The unit offers 2.5mm and 3.5mm remote mic inputs, allowing you to connect an external microphone if desired. There are also dual 1/4" headphone jacks, letting you connect headphones, a jackbox, or an external speaker for private or group learning. The volume control lets you make quick adjustments to speaker or headphone volume. The large and sturdy function buttons are easy to operate for independent learners, even young ones. The unit can operate on AC power with the included plug, or it can use a set of 4 C batteries for wireless operation. Note: Califone recommends using C-60 tapes or shorter.
