The 3 Piece Accessory Kit from Cam Caddie is a handy add-on set for users of both the Scorpion and Scorpion EX rig systems. The kit consists of three unique accessories including the 1/4-20 Flashner, the 10" Accessory Wing, and the Adjustable Accessory Shoe.
The first piece in the kit is the 1/4-20 Flashner which converts standard female 1/4"-20 threads to a traditional foot mount. This allows the user to attach any accessory with the threads to mount directly onto the Scorpion Accessory Shoe, Accessory Wing, or camera.
The second piece is the 10" Scorpion Accessory Wing, an accessory bar designed to accept most standard hot or cold shoe mount accessories. The bar's width allows the user to add monitors, lights, microphones, and other accessories to an existing Scorpion, video rig, tripod, or directly to the camera's hot shoe with a shoe mount adapter. The bar also features an adjustable 1/4"-20 threaded plate which may be re-positioned to offset the weight or size of an accessory.
The final piece is the Scorpion Accessory Shoe, a removable cold shoe adapter that is designed to attach any video accessory with a standard foot mount to the Scorpion video supports. The adapter is constructed from a composite plastic and uses a basic clamp to tighten onto the Scorpion handle. The shoe itself is constructed from anodized aluminum alloy, making it extremely durable, and can be mounted in two orientations. Multiple accessory shoes can be mounted at once, allowing for the simultaneous use of microphones, LED lights, LCD screens, and more.
