Product description Traditional yet versatile, Cambo's SC-2 Basic is a 4 x 5" monorail-style view camera that affords a full range of camera movements along with a simple interface for precise control. Based upon a 21.3"-long indexed monorail, this camera includes a standard length bellows, with a maximum draw of 18.9", to accommodate working with a variety of focal lengths and subject types. 4.7" of rise and fall, 2" of shift, and 30° of tilt and swing enable an extensive amount of perspective and focus correction, which is aided by dual-axis spirit levels on both the front and rear standards. Each of the movements are set upon zero-reference scales for repeatable precision, and large, knurled locking knobs and a friction focusing mechanism further contribute to intuitive handling. Reminiscent of historical 4 x 5" view cameras, but refined for greater accessibility and precision, the SC-2 Basic is a straight-forward camera well-suited for both studio and field applications.
Complementing the range of movements and controls afforded by the simple interface is a robust construction comprising of an all-metal monorail, standards, and controls. The SC-2 Basic includes both the C-6 Standard Bellows as well as the C-168 International 4 x 5" Ground Glass Back, which features a rotating design and accepts all Graflok-type accessories. Additionally, this camera fits within a modular system of a variety of accessories, which enable you to pair optional components, such as extended bellows, monorails, and more, to better suit different individual shooting applications. - Conventional 4 x 5" monorail view camera affords a full range of camera movements for precise control of focusing and perspective movements.
- Set on a 21.3"-long monorail, the included standard length bellows permits working with an array of different focal lengths, subject sizes, and working distances.
- Both front and rear standards have full rise/fall, lateral shift, tilt, and swing movements, each of which is complemented by zero-reference scales for repeatable accuracy.
- Both standards incorporate independent dual-axis spirit levels for maintaining consistently level horizons and plumb verticals.
- A quick release mounting block is fitted to the monorail and permits easy attachment to tripods.
- The monorail, both standards, and all camera controls are constructed from metal for enhanced durability and accuracy.
- A friction focusing method enables fast focus setting and large, knurled locking rings enable precise tuning and setting of camera movements.
- The C-6 Normal Bellows and C-168 International 4 x 5" Ground Glass Back are both included. Additionally, the SC-2 Basic is designed within a modular system and is compatible with a wide array of other optional accessories.
