Product description The Canon KJ17EX7.7BIRSD PS12 HDgc Lens for Panasonic AG-HPX500 Camera offers 17x optical zoom ratio or a focal length range of 7.7-131mm for the camera’s 2/3” format sensor. Featuring a 2x built-in extender, the lens can offer a 15.4-262mm focal length range.
Designed to offer ruggedness and mobility, the PS12 HDgc Lens is ideal for field operations and news gathering. Fluorite and high-index ultra low-dispersion glass elements ensure excellent image reproduction with minimized picture aberrations. Aspherical lens element design offers reduced geometrical distortion, and well-contained monochromatic/chromatic aberrations result in sharp images from the center to the edges of the picture.
The ergonomic design of the digital drive unit ensures stress-free control of zoom, iris, and focus. Featuring the shuttle shot mechanism, the KJ17EX7.7BIRSD PS12 HDgc Lens can memorize any 2 focal lengths, and automatically shuttle between the 2 points both ways. The Frame Preset feature allows you to preset an angle of view, and you can zoom in/out to the set frame with a simple push of a button. The servo zoom control has dynamic speed that ranges from 0.5 sec to over a super-slow 5 minute for the entire zoom range. You can preset a specific zoom speed for repetitive use. The lens features manual focus control.
Featuring a maximum aperture of f/1.8 at 7.7mm, the HDgc lens helps you to shoot in low-light conditions. The lens has a minimum focus distance of 23.6” (0.6m), and can focus from as close as 0.4” (10mm) in Macro mode.
