The camera captures clean, clear video and stills thanks to the 3.89Mp CMOS sensor and the DIGIC DV III Image Processor, while the 2.7" Multi-Angle Widescreen LCD, SuperRange Optical Image Stabilizer and 15x HD Video Lens also enhance your video making endeavors. The HF20 also features Face Detection and Video Snapshot Mode among other convenient functions for the casual home movie maker. For those looking to capture video with a film-look, the camera offers the 24p Cinema mode and 30p progressive mode for action or sports footage. In addition, higher quality audio can be captured by utilizing the external microphone terminal.
