Product description The XU-81W HD PTZ Camera With Wiper is a robotic pan, tilt, zoom camera from Canon featuring a 21 MP 1/3" CMOS Sensor, 20x optical zoom lens, and an HD-SDI output that supports up to 1080i at 59.94 fps. With upright and inverted mounting options and a water and dust proof, IP55-rated enclosure, the XU-81 is suitable for a wide range of applications both indoors and out. Outdoor applications include traffic POV, weather POV, outdoor monitoring, and outdoor event coverage. Indoor applications include broadcasting house worship services, IMAG, corporate event coverage, recording lectures and classes for education, video conferencing, and internet streaming.
Pan, tilt, and zoom operations of the XU-81 are designed to be fast, smooth, precise and quiet. It features a noise rating of less than NC 30 when moving at 40 degrees per second. Where extra speed is required, such as when tracking a fast-moving subject, High Speed Mode can be engaged boosting pan/tilt speed up to 50%. - Wiper and ND Filter
- For outdoor use, he XU-81W features a wiper and an ND filter. The ND filter can be set to 1, 32 or OFF. The wiper is designed to keep the lens clear of water drops for installations where the camera will be exposed to the elements.
- Image Flip
- Image flip enables the XU-81W to be mounted up-side-down for ceiling installation. In addition the camera will automatically flip the image when the tilt angle passes 90°.
- Locally Switchable Rear Connectors
- For integration with existing A/V installations, dipswitches on the rear panel allow the HD-SDI video output to be set to either 1080i or 720p to match the existing signal. In addition, the settings allow you to choose between RS-232 or RS-422 depending on the type of control system and cables that will be used.
- Low-Light and IR Night Mode
- In low light conditions, low-light performance can be boosted using via frame accumulation by engaging the Slow Shutter Function. In addition, switching the IR Cut Filter to OFF enables black and white image capture in total darkness.
