Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More The 8x42 3D Series ED Binocular from Carson Optical combines extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements with a nitrogen-filled housing to create a versatile optic that delivers a bright, sharp image and weatherproof performance. At the core of this general purpose binocular is a fully multi-coated optical path that utilizes ED lenses to transmit bright images that are color faithful and contrast-rich. To preserve image quality and maximize the color fidelity provided by the ED glass, Carson outfits its 3D Series binoculars with phase-corrected BAK4 prisms engineered to align the incoming wavelengths of light and retain lifelike details.Complementing the extra-low dispersion optical path and fogproof/waterproof construction, the 3D Series binocular features twist-up eyecups and a comfortable 19.5mm eye relief that provides a comfortable viewing distance for most observers. The 8x magnification power equips this set of glasses for a wide range of observations; a 52° apparent viewing angle and 9.8' minimum focus distance extend the functionality to include close-range tasks like birding. An included neoprene neck strap and stabilizing shoulder harness enable comfortable extended-duration observations and help make the 8x42 3D Series binocular well-suited for almost any outdoor activity. Note: Warning - The case for this device contains magnets which can interfere with pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD's).
