The magnifying power and premium optical elements in binoculars can make a great telephoto lens for digiscoping, and the HookUpz Universal Binocular Smartphone Adapter from Carson Optics offers a practical way to connect a smartphone camera to the eyepiece on one of a binocular's ocular tubes. Slip your phone into the holder, press the ring over the eyepiece (it doesn't matter which one – take your pick), and you're ready to capture images and video and share them via email, messaging or social media. Two adapter rings allow the adapter to fit onto most binocular eyepieces with an outside diameter from 40-44mm (1.57-1.73"). The adapter's innovative clamping mechanism holds the smartphone securely, with the camera centered on the binocular eyepiece. In most cases, you will be able to keep your case on the phone when installed in the adapter, and the clamp holds the phone securely in position without marking or marring the screen or case. -
