Product description - Carson Optical MM-280 MicroMini Pocket Microscope
This Carson MicroMini 20x Pocket Microscope can make a handy addition to any outdoor gear. With its longest dimension at under 2 inches, this magnifying tool can fit into the tiniest of pockets. Despite its size, it muscles up a 20x magnification power and packs three bright LEDs for illumination (two white light and one UV), each of which has a special function. For making close-range, table top observations, use the sliding switch on the side to activate a white LED that is located closest to the objective lens. This LED shines light on objects that are placed under the scope in a tabletop operation mode. For using this optic as a magnifier, push the same sliding switch to activate a long-range LED illuminator. This LED is located farther away from the objective lens and casts light at objects that are from a few inches to a few feet away from the microscope. The third LED, which can be turned on via a round pushbutton, shines ultraviolet light and can be used to authenticate oil paintings, antiques, and banknotes, or to study otherwise invisible objects or traces that exhibit fluorescence under UV light.
