Product description Carson Optical's TA-50 Binocular Tripod Adapter is used to reduce fatigue and eliminate hand-shake with optics that have high magnifications and/or large objectives — especially during long-duration birding or nature viewing sessions.The TA-50 is used to attach most tripod-adaptable binoculars to a photo/video/field tripod, window mount, or other support system. Made of a lightweight aluminum alloy, the adapter is 3.5" tall to allow the clearance required for larger-objective binoculars and threads to the optic's mounting socket using a 1/4" threaded bolt with a slim knurled thumbscrew that causes minimal obstruction when the interpupillary adjustment is at its narrowest. The adapter mounts to any standard 1/4"-20 tripod mounting socket or quick release plate.
