Product description The Cavision Single Handgrip Viewfinder Package is designed for handheld shooting with video DSLR cameras with 3" LCD screens. The handgrip allows the operator to wrangle a small video DSLR rig with mobility, leaving one hand free for zooming, focusing, or other tasks. The viewfinder connector is designed to align with the 3" LCD screen of the Canon 5D Mk II. Some DSLRs may align with the connector with horizontal and/or back-and-forth adjustment; others, such as the Canon 7D, T2i, and D550, require an additional spacer plate (Cavision part RPC4566). The LCD viewfinder is a 6x magnification device with a single glass element and a rubber eye-cup. It enhances the operator's control over critical focus and accurate framing. The viewfinder swings away from the LCD screen quickly through the use of the swing-connection piece that attaches to the baseplate. The unit includes four spacers for adjusting the viewfinder for use with most DSLR cameras. The baseplate, which features both a male 1/4" 20 screw and a female 1/4" thread, connects to your DSLR and, optionally, to a tripod. The handgrip also attaches to the baseplate. Its tilt is fully adjustable. Note: The lens on the viewfinder, like all optical elements, by its nature magnifies light and thus will also magnify the sun's rays; therefore, leaving the viewfinder on the camera in direct sunlight may cause damage to the LCD. The manufacturer will not be held liable for damage caused by improper use of its products.
