Product description - Deluxe Mars Accessory Kit
Celestron upgraded their standard kit with the addition of their purpose-built Mars observation filter to create the 1.25" Deluxe Mars Observing Telescope Accessory Kit. Assembled for the 2018 Mars Opposition, the filters in this kit can be used at any time to view and photograph other planets such as Saturn and Jupiter, as well as the moon. In addition to the three standard planetary filters, is the Mars observing filter, which combines the characteristics of red and blue filters to pass only the best wavelengths for viewing Mars. Also included with the filters is the universal Barlow lens. This versatile accessory effectively doubles the magnification of any eyepiece used in it without affecting the exit pupil or eye relief—allowing for high-power observations without the discomfort of using short focal length eyepieces. The Barlow has standard T-mount threads on the end that accept optional camera-specific T-rings to mount just about any DSLR for astrophotography. To safely store and transport the filters and Barlow, Celestron includes a hard plastic storage case. - Eyepiece Filters

- Improves contrast, definition, and resolution
#80A Blue:- Helpful in studying surface features and polar caps
- Most popular for the study of detail on Jupiter and Saturn
- Enhances the contrast on Jupiter's cloud belts
- Enhances details of the Great Red Spot
- Brings out detail in Saturn's belts and polar features
- Also very useful for lunar observing

- Increases the contrast of the red and blue regions in Jupiter's atmosphere and cloud belts
- Great for lunar observing
#25 Red:- Reduces light from blue and green areas, which darkens the maria and oases, while lightening the orange-hued desert region; sharpens the boundaries of yellow dust clouds
