Product description Provided by third party: Century's .7X Wide Angle Converter attaches quickly to the front of your XL1's 16:1 zoom, offering a 30% wider angle of view and full zoom-thru capabilities. The .7X shifts the focal length range from 5.5 - 88mm to 3.85-61.6mm - with no appreciable light loss.
Canon's 3X lens is compact and useful, but imagine switching those delicate electronic lenses quickly on a wet day at the beach. The .7X Wide Converter slips onto the front of the 16X zoom with a one-handed twist, instead. Yet it results in an effective focal length nearly as wide as the 3X (within half a millimeter) and zooms six times as far.
This converter is designed for Canon XL2, XL1S, and XL1 with 16X Manual Lens.
