Product description The REDD.47 Microphone Preamplifier from Chandler is a re-creation of Abbey Road Studios' legendary EMI REDD.51 recording console tube preamplifier—heard on classic records from artists like the Beatles. It provides up to 57 dB of gain, an increase from the original design, giving you the option of tones ranging from pristine to the distortion heard on the Beatles track "Revolution." The preamp features a stepped voltage gain input, a variable fine gain control, and a variable output control, providing ample control over your level. Its Rumble Filter gives you 8 frequencies from 30 to 180 Hz to eliminate low-end from your signal if desired. Not limited to use with just microphones, there is a front-panel 1/4" Hi-Z input for use as a DI, and its XLR input also supports line-level signals, allowing you to run almost any source through the REDD.47 for amplification, tone, or harmonic distortion.
