The pleasing sonic character, which can be heard on many recordings such as the Beatles' "Abbey Road" and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" albums, is now captured in this device for your recording applications. Featuring the same discrete transformer-balanced amplifiers as the original, the TG2-500 has a warmth and punch, but with a nice rise in top-end frequency response and distortion, which contributes to its sound. Moreover, the input is Mic/Line switchable, and the preamp has 48V phantom power and switchable phase.
