Product description The CMS-443 Speed-Connect Suspended Ceiling Kit with Fixed Extension Column from Chief is a special kit that includes the Speed-Connect Lightweight Suspended Ceiling System and a Fixed Extension Column. Use this combination unit to install an LCD or DLP projector in a drop down ceiling, where finding hardware that will support the weight of your equipment is a difficult task.
The ceiling kit consists of a metal tray that hangs on cables from the ceiling, yet is still placed above the drop-down ceiling tiles. The extension tube is then mounted to the tray through a hole in a ceiling tile. The projector may then be affixed to the extension pole without regard to its weight, since the ceiling itself and not the drop-down tile is supporting it.
