Product description The Large Shallow Super Pro Plus is designed for use with a strobe in small working spaces. With fabric not intended for the heat of a continuous light, the Large Super Pro Plus with silver interior is ideal for work where maximum softening of flash is desired. The light quality from this softbox will be slightly more contrasty than that produced by a Super Pro Plus with white interior. The "Plus" designation of this softbox means the front face of the softbox is removable. Chimera makes different strengths of diffusion material for front face applications. The softbox comes with a one stop diffuser, but a 1/2 or 1/4 grid cloth can be purchased separately. These would allow more light transmission and help to make the light more specular, or "less soft." - Ideal for full length portraits of 2 or 3 adults.
- Recessed front controls light spill and allows attachment of an optional fabric grid.
- Shallow box design makes working in small areas easier.
- The poles are sectional, and collapse for easy storage.
- For use with a strobe head that has a protruding flashtube. It is not recomended for use with heads having built-in reflectors such as the Dyna-Lite 2040 lamphead or Novatron lampheads.
The shallow depth of this softbox would not allow the light to spread out adaquately within the box. Exposure would not be even across the entire front face of the softbox.
