• Cine.1 Dual-Stage 15mm LWS Swing-Away Matte Box The completely modular Cine.1 Matte Box from Chrosziel is built to be strong yet lightweight to fit into your handheld or studio camera rig. Having a matte box on the front of your lens allows you more flexilbility in lighting your scene by blocking light sources just out of frame from directly entering the lens, which can cause the lens to flare, and introduce image artifacts. This particular iteration of the Cine.1 series can be mounted on 15mm LWS rods, and is configured with two filter stages, however, it can be configured to hold either one or three filters with addition or removal of filter stages.

  Features

  Included Top Flag
  • A top flag (also called an eyebrow) is included to block extraneous light from above. The flag folds in half for a smaller footprint when it's packed away. As an added touch, the flag has security holes which mate with safety latches on the matte box, preventing the flag from accidentally falling during installation.
  Adjustable Swing-Away Assembly
  • Chrosziel's swing-away arm assembly enables faster lens changes by conveniently moving the matte box out of the way of the lens. In addition to providing swing-away functionality, the assembly has joints which allow you to tilt the matte box to avoid filter reflections, as well as slide it horizontally and vertically when fitting it to your lens, compensating for possible inconsistencies found in complex rigging scenarios.
  Construction
  • The Cine.1 matte box housing is constructed from high-impact polymer blend. This material is very rigid and resistant to cracking, yet keeps the weight of the matte box down as to not unbalance your rig. The surround is constructed from aluminum
  Expandability
  • Using the multiple threaded mounting points, accessories such as side flags, rosettes, a filter catcher, and a top accessory plate, can be attached to expand the functionality of the Cine.1 matte box.
• Extra Large Matte Box Side Flags Chrosziel's Extra Large Side Flags add light control to select matte boxes when strong light sources like the sun and high wattage broad lights. This side flag will block light sources and keep glare and flare from ruining your image. Note: Pivot mechanism accessories are required to attach the side flags to your matte box
  Adjustable
  • This side wing allows extra adjustment via a corner edge control; this control will work with wide angle lenses and 16:9 aspect ratios, providing specific light control.
• Side Flag Pivot Mechanism Set for Cine.1 Matte Box Install side flags in your Cine.1 Matte Box with this Chrosziel Side Flag Pivot Mechanism Set. Using the included screws, the pivot mechanisms secure to the left and right sides of the matte box and have screw clamps for holding side flags. Each pivot mechanism enables the side flags to be adjusted laterally to compensate for focal length.
• Top Accessory Bar for Cine.1 Matte Box Mount accessories top of your Cine.1 matte box with Chrosziel's Top Accessory Bar. The bar itself slots in at the top of the Cine.1 matte box and provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tapped holes to mount articulating arms or other accessories. The top of the bar includes a sliding accessory mounting thread for attaching distance measurement equipment.
• Rosette for Cine.1 Matte Box (Pair) This pair of Rosettes from Chrosziel attach directly to the Cine.1 matte box frame, allowing you to secure accessories compatible with the Arri rosette standard to the Cine.1 matte box.
• Filter Tray Catcher for Cine.1 Matte Box This Tray Catcher from Chrosziel attaches to the bottom of the Cine.1 matte box and extends to prevent filter trays from accidentally falling through the matte box during loading.
• Clamp-On Step-Down Ring for Cine.1 Matte Box (150 to 136mm) The Chrosziel MB 565 Step-Down Ring for Cinema Lenses allows for clamp-on use of the matte box with lenses that have an external diameter of 136mm.
• Clamp-On Step-Down Ring for Cine.1 Matte Box (150 to 114mm) The Chrosziel MB 565 Step-Down Ring for Cinema Lenses allows for clamp-on use of the matte box with lenses that have an external diameter of 114mm.
• Clamp-On Step-Down Ring for Cine.1 Matte Box (150 to 104mm) The Chrosziel MB 565 Step-Down Ring for Cinema Lenses allows for clamp-on use of the matte box with lenses that have an external diameter of 104mm.
• Hard Case for Cine.1 Matte Box Protect your Cine.1 Matte Box with this Chrosziel Hard Case. A pre-cut insert is form-fit for the Cine.1 Matte box for security. Dual locking latches secure the lid from falls and seals the inside against outside weather. The case's handle has a rubber grip for comfort when transporting by hand.
