Product description Combining comfortable shoulder-mounting and power distribution, this Chrosziel LWS Baseplate + Virtus Mini Kit for the Sony FS5 lets you build an advanced rig with a simple, unified power solution. This kit is comprised of Chrosziel's LWS FS5 baseplate with 15mm rods, the Virtus Mini power distribution box, 15mm rear rods, and a rear-rod bracket.The LWS baseplate is the linchpin of this rig, supporting 15mm accessories and allowing for easy buildup of the FS5. The integrated shoulder pad is movable to achieve comfortable positioning and balance, and with the included rear rod bracket and 15mm rods, can be attached to Chrosziel's Quick-Lock plate or any VCT-14 plate.Essential for building your kit with electronic components, the Virtus Mini is a power distribution box which easily attaches to the rear rods with its integrated rod clamp. It effectively draws power from a single Sony BP-U battery and distributes that power to multiple devices simultaneously. The multiple outputs ensure that your entire rig only requires a single power source, reducing downtime due to battery swaps. The included two-pin LEMO to barrel connector jack allows for the FS5 to draw power from the Virtus Mini; cables for other devices can be purchased separately. - Power Distribution
- Working in collaboration with ACSE-GmBH, Chrosziel includes the Virtus Mini Power Distribution box to not only power your FS5 camera, but any other accessory on your rig that requires power, from a single source. Outputs offered on the Virtus Mini are a regulated, switchable 7.5/8.6V Hirose output, three unregulated 12V two-pin LEMOs, and two convenient USB outputs.
- Unified Design
- With this LWS setup, all the parts come together to form a unified, weight-balanced rig. With the baseplate extended, the rig mounts nicely to Chrosziel's separately available Quick-Lock tripod plate. While shoulder-mounted, the battery and the Virtus Mini combined create a counterweight that balances out the FS5, enabling longer shooting periods without tiring.
