Product description - Ghost-Eye Wireless Video Transmission 200M Review by Doug Johnson
The Cinegears Ghost-Eye Wireless HDMI & SDI Video Transmitter 200M transmits an uncompressed HD or SD video signal up to 656' with near-zero latency to a corresponding Ghost-Eye Receiver 200M, sold separately. It's also cross-compatible with any other Ghost-Eye receiver model. The transmitter features HDMI and SDI inputs and delivers up to 1080p60 resolution at 10-bit, 4:2:2 sampling.
Whether in a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configuration, your HDMI or SDI signal is carried with a low latency rate of less than 1 ms over the license-free 5 GHz frequency band. The transmitter is also capable of HDMI/SDI cross-conversion, so you can input a signal via HDMI and output through SDI (or vice-versa) on the optional receiver end.
Small obstacles in the line-of-sight are compensated for by an adaptive signal logarithm keeping your transmitter and receiver connected. For safety, signals dropped due to interference or a loss of line-of-sight are automatically relinked within 1 ms of the obstacle being removed. Other features include signal encryption and timecode. - LED Readout
- Check and select your wireless channel using the easy-to-read LED numerical readout. Use one button to select the channel and the second button to confirm selection.
- Power Options
- Conveniently power the transmitter or receiver with widely available L-series batteries. Additionally, the transmitter has a 2-pin LEMO input for external power.
- Input/Output Cross Conversion
- HDMI input from the transmitter can be converted to SDI output (and vice-versa) on the optional receiver. Whether the source is HDMI or SDI, you can connect it to HDMI or SDI equipment without a hitch.
- Auto-Relink
- Lost signals can be recovered quickly once line-of-sight is re-established. Small objects within the line-of-sight will be compensated for automatically.
